Crew accounts. When you create a crew account, we collect your name, handle, email address, airline, home base, aircraft type, and position. We also collect your profile photo if provided. When you use the App, we collect your approximate location (for the layover map and crew connect features), your flight schedule (if you connect one), gate reports you submit, and messages you send within the App.
Family & Friends accounts. If you create a Family & Friends account to follow a crew member, we collect your name, email address, profile photo (optional), your device's time zone, your notification preferences, and which crew members you follow. We do not collect your location, and Family & Friends accounts are never listed in the crew directory.
We use your information to operate the App, display your profile to other crew members on the layover map and crew connect features, share your schedule with the people you choose, send you push notifications about gate assignments, flight alerts, and the crew members you follow, and improve the App experience.
Your handle, profile photo, airline, position, and approximate location (when the map is active) are visible to other iFlight Pro users. Your full name and email address are never shared with other users.
Crew Hangout. Posts and replies you write in Hangout are visible to other crew accounts (never to Family & Friends accounts) with your first name and last initial, position, profile photo and, unless you turn it off, your airline. Before a post appears, its text is checked automatically by our AI provider (Anthropic) for content that breaks the Hangout rules; it is not used to train AI models. Layover rooms show an anonymous count of crew on a layover in that city (people who turned off the Find Friends map are not counted). Hangout posts are deleted at noon the next day (layover rooms) or after 7 days (other rooms), and when you delete your account. Reports you submit are kept for up to 60 days.
Crew members can invite family and friends to follow their schedule using an invite code or link. Sharing is invite-only and controlled by the crew member, who can see who is following, remove any follower, hide hotel names, or pause sharing at any time. Followers can stop following at any time.
What followers see: the crew member's first and full name, profile photo, airline, position, home base, and a limited copy of their schedule — flights, deadheads, reserve days, days off and training, with cities and times — plus flight status such as departed, landed, delayed or cancelled. Hotel names are shown only if the crew member turns that on.
What followers never see: crew lists, gate reports, messages, notes, other connections, or the crew member's exact GPS location. A crew member's followers can see the follower's name so the crew member knows who is following.
The App uses third-party APIs for authentication, database storage, push notifications, flight status, weather data, and mapping features. Each third-party service has its own privacy policy. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
If you choose to import your schedule from your device calendar, the App reads the calendar(s) you select solely to identify your flights. This processing happens entirely on your device — your calendar data is never uploaded to our servers. Only the derived flight schedule (flight numbers, airports, times) is stored, the same as a URL-imported schedule. You can revoke calendar access at any time in your device settings.
Family & Friends trip assistant: if a follower turns on “Use my calendar” in the trip assistant, the App reads the titles and times of their calendar events for the next four weeks (not notes, locations or attendees) and sends them with each question to our AI provider so the answer can help them plan. This calendar text is used only to answer that question and is not stored. The switch can be turned off at any time. Separately, “Show my calendar” on the Family Month view displays the follower’s own events alongside the crew member’s schedule; that display happens entirely on the device and nothing is uploaded.
With your permission, we send push notifications for gate assignments, flight delays, and ground stops. Family & Friends followers may receive notifications when a crew member they follow departs, lands, is delayed, starts a reserve day, and a weekly schedule summary. You can turn individual notification types off, set quiet hours, or disable notifications at any time in your device settings or within the App.
Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in the App (Profile or Settings → Delete Account), which permanently removes your profile, schedule, and sharing connections — including any Family & Friends followers or people you follow. You may also request deletion by contacting support@iflightpro.com.
We use industry-standard security measures including app attestation and encrypted connections to protect your data.
The App is intended for aviation professionals and for adult family members and friends who follow them. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via push notification or email.
If you join the Android waitlist on our website, we collect your name, email address, airline, aircraft type, and the time you signed up. We use this only to manage the waitlist and to send launch and product updates about iFlight Pro for Android. We do not sell this information, and it is stored with trusted third-party cloud infrastructure.
